Priscilla Scott currently serves as the Lead Coordinator for the Nevada Recreation and Park Society (NRPS), where she has demonstrated strong leadership, organization, and a deep commitment to advancing the association's mission. Recently retired from the City of Las Vegas after more than 20 years of service in parks and recreation, Priscilla brings extensive experience in program management, technology integration, and community engagement. During her career, she helped establish innovative programs in esports, podcasting, and workforce development that expanded access and opportunities for the community. In her role with NRPS, she continues to champion professional development, foster collaboration among members, and promote innovation and inclusivity across the field of recreation in Nevada.

Cole Cline, Recreation Specialist

Douglas County Community Services

Cole Cline lives in Carson City, Nevada, with his beautiful wife, Laura, and their mini Aussie, Sadie. A northern Nevada resident for over 20 years, he is a proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. Cole has worked in the field of recreation for more than eight years in Douglas County, NV and is actively involved in nearly every aspect of his department's operations. His professional interests include parks and recreation systems, sports and event coordination, and recreation software management. Outside of work, Cole enjoys exploring Nevada's natural beauty and rich history. His personal interests include traveling, sports, reading, and biking. From powder days in the mountains of Lake Tahoe and road trips to the sunny beaches of the west coast, he loves getting outdoors and finding new adventures. Each year, he travels to Phoenix, Arizona, for MLB Spring Training—combining his love of baseball with a passion for learning about the behind-the-scenes aspects of the sport and the facilities they utilize. Cole would be honored to be a member of the NRPS board to help promote parks and recreation throughout the state and continue developing his professional goals.

Jackpot Aquatics & Recreation

I started working in 1979, holding various jobs across multiple industries. In the early 80s, I was trained as a dental assistant & office manager. Due to a serious accident in 1992, I was in a wheelchair for 20 Years. It took another five years until I was released to return to work part-time. During the 25 years it took to recover fully, I kept active in my community. I was a Cub Scout leader from 1996 to 2001. I had an electric wheelchair that allowed me to get around. We would take the scouts on camping trips and fishing trips. I worked with other adults and leaders, so my scouts didn't miss out on the whole scouting experience. During these 25 years, I volunteered as a member of the School's PTO, serving in several roles, including President. I joined Toastmasters International in 1995, where I learned how to run official meetings and became familiar with Robert's Rules of Order. During my 20 years of active participation in Toastmasters, I completed the Distinguished Toastmaster Honor three times (at the time, it was the highest honor in the program). After moving to Jackpot, I volunteered as the Tourism Director. When COVID-19 closed the Town of Jackpot, I started a 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit so we could establish a Food Pantry in Jackpot. Not having a grocery store in Jackpot, and the closest grocery store is 50 miles away in Twin Falls, Idaho. In 2021, I was offered a part-time position with Elko County as Assistant Town Clerk, Senior Center & Tourism Director. In 2022, I transitioned to a full-time role, adding Manager of the Jackpot Aquatic and Recreation Center. Although I had no formal training in these departments, I was committed to learning all the jobs and tasks assigned to me.

Andrew Menendez, Recreation Program Supervisor - Youth and Adaptive Programs

Carson City Parks, Recreation, and Open Space

I have been a recreation professional with Carson City Parks, Recreation, and Open Space since 2017, where I currently serve as the Recreation Program Supervisor. In this role, I oversee a variety of Youth and Adaptive Recreation programs that focus on inclusion, engagement, and community connection. Programs I manage are the Capital Kids Before and After School program, the Camp Carson Summer Day Camp program, and the Movers and Doers program. These programs are designed to create meaningful, engaging, and accessible opportunities for participants. My career in Parks and Recreation began in 2011 with the City of Concord, where I worked at a Family Camp in South Lake Tahoe. I worked several part time roles at Camp Concord, including Camp Counselor, Waterfront Specialist, and Program Coordinator. These early experiences helped shaped my passion for youth development, safety, and program quality. In 2016, I had the opportunity to service as the Camp Director for Camp Concord for two summers, where I led staff teams, managed daily operations, and ensured a safe and memorable camp experience for participants. I am interested in serving as a Member at Large for the NRPS because I value collaboration, professional growth and the opportunity to support the advancement of Parks and Recreation across the state. Serving as a Member at Large would allow me to contribute my experience while helping strengthen connections within the Nevada Parks and Recreation network.

Ryan Stanton, Community Services Deputy Director

I currently serve as the Deputy Director of Community Services for Douglas County, where I oversee a wide range of programs and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents. With over 15 years of professional experience, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of local government operations, strategic planning, and community engagement. Throughout my career, I have played a key role in managing public works and capital improvement projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. My leadership style emphasizes collaboration and transparency, fostering strong working relationships with members of the public, executive staff, elected officials, and regional government partners. I am deeply committed to building partnerships that strengthen community connections and support sustainable growth. My dedication to public service, coupled with my ability to navigate complex organizational and community needs, continues to contribute to the long-term success of Douglas County's Community Services Department.

Laura Unruh, Volunteer Coordinator

Laura has worked for Douglas County for nearly five years and began her career in recreation with the Douglas County Community and Senior Center in Gardnerville, Nevada. She became passionate about the importance of recreation in our community by witnessing the positive impact youth, adult, and senior sports and activities have on the population. She became heavily involved with the programs at the center, even beginning youth, adult, and senior climbing classes throughout the year. Laura recently moved into the Volunteer Coordinator position and truly loves the job. By working with the volunteers throughout the community she feels privileged to see the generosity, commitment to community, and enthusiasm individuals share with residents everyday. She has become inspired by their involvement and would be honored to give her time supporting our Parks and Recreation professional society. Laura also looks forward to working with other board members to create meaningful, continuing education opportunities and promoting parks and recreation throughout the state of Nevada. Laura spends her off time appreciating all the state of Nevada has to offer. She enjoys hiking, climbing, swimming in high Alpine lakes, biking, and taking trips to explore towns around the state. She is the proud mom of two and happily married to her husband, Cole. They share adventures together in Northern Nevada with their dog Sadie.

Ayrianna Disney, Recreation Specialist

Ayrianna has been a dedicated member of Clark County Parks and Recreation since 2017, starting as a part-time lifeguard and swim instructor and working her way through all levels of part-time management. In October 2022, she was promoted to Recreation Specialist at Desert Breeze Aquatic Center, where she has made a significant impact on staff development and workplace culture. Known for her passion and professionalism, Ayrianna excels at mentoring her team, fostering morale, and creating an environment where staff feel supported and empowered to succeed.

Her commitment to the field extends beyond her facility. Ayrianna is actively involved with NRPS, currently serving as secretary for the NRPS Aquatics (South) Committee, participating in the LEAD program, and contributing to the planning of the NRPS Part-Time Aquatics Conference for the past two years. She consistently demonstrates leadership, collaboration, and enthusiasm for advancing parks and recreation initiatives.

Jordyne Duncan, Sr. Inclusion Recreation Leader

Hi, I'm Jordyne Duncan, and I currently serve as a Senior Inclusion Recreation Leader for the City of Las Vegas. For over four years, I've had the privilege of creating and leading inclusive programs that support individuals with diverse abilities. My work includes afterschool programs, summer camp and the Adaptive Drama Club; focusing on programs that foster inclusion, creativity, connection, and personal growth for participants of all backgrounds. One highlight of my role is helping coordinate Corporate Challenge, which is a citywide event that brings together thousands of participants from dozens of companies across Las Vegas. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Washington University, and I'm proud to serve on the board of Down Syndrome Connections of Nevada, where I continue advocating and being a support for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. My passion for recreation is rooted in a desire to make a lasting impact, and I'm eager to grow professionally while helping elevate the quality and accessibility of services across Nevada. Outside of work, I'm a proud Seahawks and Las Vegas Aces fan, a devoted family member, and a dog lover. I'm truly honored to be considered for the NRPS Member at Large position and excited about the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and contribute to our vibrant recreation community.

Patrick Giddens, Site Leader - Outdoor Recreation

City of Henderson

Patrick Giddens is an Outdoor Recreation Site Leader with the City of Henderson, dedicated to advancing high-quality recreational experiences, community engagement, and professional growth within Nevada. With strong experience in program management, outdoor operations, and cross-departmental coordination, Patrick is passionate about creating accessible, inclusive, and innovative parks and recreation services that strengthen communities. In his current role, Patrick oversees a diverse range of Outdoor Recreation programs, including hiking excursions, rock wall classes, facility programming, and the coordination of rentals and permits across 71 parks and more than 200 miles of public trails. He manages daily operations at multiple facilities, including the Sports/Outdoor Recreation Office and the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, ensuring safe, educational experiences for visitors while maintaining relationships with state and federal wildlife agencies. Patrick is also a skilled event coordinator, contributing to the successful execution of major City of Henderson events such as 5K races, Bark in the Park, the Glow Bike Ride, CCSD Park Pals partnerships, and park grand openings. His strengths in team leadership, staff development, communication, and operational planning are supported by certifications in First Aid, CPR, Wilderness First Aid, NASP Archery Range Master, Top Rope, and ASIST. His commitment to the profession extends beyond daily responsibilities. Patrick is an active member of the Nevada Recreation & Parks Society, a L.E.A.D Institute mentee, and a Dundee Scholarship Award recipient. He also contributes to the City of Henderson's Part-Time Engagement Committee, developing media, podcast content, and employee engagement initiatives. Patrick is completing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management at Western Governors University. Driven by a genuine belief in the power of recreation to enrich lives, he is honored to pursue an NRPS board position and looks forward to supporting the future of Nevada's parks and recreation professionals.

Ira Kimball II, Parks and Facilities Maintenance II

Started with the City of Henderson 2020 as a Park Aid being promoted to a PFM1 November 2021. Promoted to PFMII 2022 and is currently working in Area 4 South in Inspirada. Graduated NRPS LEAD 2023 and is currently serving on the MAC Committee, Chair of the Safety Committee for the Park & Recreation Committee and a current member of the NRPS Parks Committee. Born and raised in Las Vegas coming from a diverse background in many fields such as baggage handler/Fulling aircraft at McCarran Airport, Custodian/Head Custodian I&II and Building Manager for CCSD as well as School Bus Driver in Washoe County, Specialized Plumbing Technician at American Leak Detection and in the food service industry as a busser/sever/bartender and Manager. Always loved working with humans as well as giving back to his community through volunteering including becoming SAFETalk & ASSIT certified. Suicide Intervention is very personal to him in which he became a SAFETalk Trainer in 2023 and is licensed in the State of Nevada through Living Works. Ira truly loves helping all humans and trains co-workers within the City of Henderson as well as humans in his community. He has been married for 25 years with 3 amazing children including 1 grandson and a granddaughter on the way due in May 2026. Huge love for the outdoors, loves fishing and hiking. Massive love for all animals including reptiles and has a collection of Ball Python's, 3 dogs, 2 birds and a rabbit. " Be YOU always, Smile, Laugh and Love. Hi, my name is Ashley Koehlmoos and I am a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Las Vegas. I have been serving the Las Vegas community for over 20 years as a Parks & Recreation professional. As someone who loves community engagement, I have worked in a variety of environments that include both youth programming in Community Centers as well as Active Adult Centers. I enjoy working with a team to draw our community into a place where they feel welcome and can have fun finding new interests. I believe that our local Parks & Recreation departments provide a long-lasting benefit and shape our future generations. I am excited to become more involved with NRPS and strengthen our Parks & Recreation community!

London Walsh, Recreation Specialist/ Acting Program Supervisor

Clark County Parks and Recreation

London has been a valued member of Clark County Parks and Recreation for over a decade, beginning her journey in 2013 as a part-time lifeguard and swim instructor. Her career progression reflects her dedication and expertise—advancing through multiple leadership roles before earning a full-time position as Recreation Specialist in 2022. Since then, London has spearheaded numerous initiatives that have strengthened Aquatics programming and enhanced community engagement. Among her accomplishments are the complete redesign of the swim lesson program to integrate Starfish standards, revitalizing Water Aerobics at Logandale and Overton after several years, and modernizing the Jr. Guard program to align with industry best practices. Her efforts have not only improved program quality but also earned recognition, including the Program of Excellence Award for Aquatics.

London’s passion for aquatic education is evident in her work as a Swim Instructor Trainer, where she mentors staff and ensures that every lesson meets the highest standards. She thrives on developing others, fostering confidence and skill among instructors, and creating a positive learning environment for participants. Her ability to manage multiple facilities while driving innovation demonstrates exceptional organizational and leadership skills.

In addition to her facility responsibilities, London actively contributes to the broader parks and recreation community. She is a second-year mentor in the LEAD program, has attended multiple conferences to expand her knowledge and network, serves on the NRPS Aquatics Committee, and has successfully hosted conferences for part-time staff. London’s experience, creativity, and unwavering commitment to professional growth make her an ideal candidate for the Member at Large position. Kristy Bekiares, Aquatics supervisor

Kristy played volleyball, basketball, and softball in high school. She received a Recreation BS from UNR, and an MBA in Finance. She coached variety of sports and youth camps, high school tennis, swimming, and basketball teams. Kristy has been apart of Churchill County Parks and Rec. department for 20 years. Kristy also held NRPS executive board positions President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Kristy chaired and co-chaired several NRPS conferences and has received several honorable awards from the organization. She has been an American Red Cross Instructor/Instructor Trainer for 30 years. Kristy strives to support recreational opportunities in the region by strengthening partnerships with Nevada parks and recreation professionals, especially in the aquatic community.

Georgianna Drees-Wasmer, Administrative Services Manager

Georgianna Drees-Wasmer is the Administrative Services Manager for Douglas County Community Services and has been a dedicated member of the Douglas County Recreation team for more than 11 years. A committed professional with a passion for service, she prides herself on supporting both the community and her fellow staff. Georgianna is known for her strengths in events coordinating, program development, creativity, and mentorship, helping guide and inspire newer staff as they grow within the field. She has served on the Nevada Recreation and Park Society (NRPS) Board for the past four years and has led the NRPS Awards Team since 2023, advancing the Society's efforts to recognize outstanding professionals and innovative projects across the state. Georgianna also recently earned her Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) credential, demonstrating her dedication to ongoing growth and excellence within the profession. Most recently, Georgianna took the lead in launching the NRPS Parks Committee, creating a new opportunity for parks professionals statewide to network, collaborate, and discuss emerging topics and challenges within the parks field. This initiative reflects her commitment to elevating communication, shared learning, and professional support across Nevada. Prior to her career in local government, Georgianna proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. She continues to stay connected to that part of her life by engaging with local Veterans at the Douglas County Senior Center, fostering a sense of community and support. I am grateful to be considered for the role of President Elect - South. My career in parks and recreation began when I was 15 years old as a swim instructor, and that early experience sparked a passion for helping others that has guided my professional journey. I currently serve as the Recreation Manager for the City of Las Vegas, where I have the privilege of supporting staff, strengthening programs, and helping enhance the quality of life for our community. I hold a Master of Public Administration from UNLV and a Bachelor's in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management from Northern Michigan University. I am a Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) and serve as a CAPRA visitor. As a recreation professional for more than 15 years in both Illinois and Nevada, I have been fortunate to grow alongside supportive colleagues and mentors. My previous experience as an NRPS Member-at-Large and as a graduate of the NRPS LEAD program have further shaped my commitment to giving back to this amazing organization.
