NRPS Annual Awards Information

NRPS Awards are presented to individuals and agencies to recognize their professional and personal efforts in the fields of parks and recreation.  The Awards Committee receives and distributes all submissions which are then carefully reviewed by a panel of NRPS members from around the State. Their responsibility is to select the most outstanding nominations for recognition. Awards are presented at the annual NRPS Conference Awards Banquet during the annual conference. 

Award Submissions are collected electronically through webform. We recommend you gather all your submission material and write any descriptions or narratives prior to visiting the awards submission form online. You will not be able to stop and restart your submission, it must be completed in one sitting.

When submitting a nomination, please consider the following suggestions:

• Read the criteria for each award category and the nomination procedures carefully.
• The committee suggests that you write your nomination using Word, GoogleDocs, or another word processer prior to starting your online award submission and copying the narratives or descriptions into the webform.
• Nominations should provide information pertaining directly to each award criteria.
• Nominations should be clear, concise and well written.
• Nominations should contain high resolution pictures, drawings, etc. to be uploaded at the end of the Nomination web-form.
• Submit complete nomination materials.
• Spend time preparing the nomination application and submit.
