  • Hosted by the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation. After the IN-PERSON training, participants complete the CYSA certification process via the Online Academy system. This will enhance the educational experience while networking with youth sports professionals from
    around the state!
    Topics include youth sports philosophy, policies &
    procedures, volunteer management, child abuse and bullying prevention, parent management, conflict resolution, risk management, emergency preparedness, inclusion of children with disabilities, leadership, professional development plus more!
    TIME: 9am - 1pm

The Academy for Youth Sports Administrators is a comprehensive certification program offering cutting-edge information on critical topics for professional youth sports administrators. The Academy’s primary goal is to provide professionals with the foundation and tools needed to positively impact the youth sports experience for all children in their communities. It is designed as an interpersonal, educational and networking opportunity that no youth sports administrator should miss.

The Academy is offered onsite and is the only place where the Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA) credential can be earned! Attendees gain a foundation of knowledge as well as new perspectives on developing workable solutions to challenges and issues faced while on the job.

The Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA) credential is earned upon successful completion of the Online Academy Examination.

The CYSA credential is valid for two years and must be maintained by obtaining continuing education. All CYSAs have continuous access to the CYSA Area of the Online Academy. This area of the Online Academy includes a variety of tools, resources and information designed to assist the CYSA in offering the best possible youth sports program in their local community. More than 4,300 professionals have earned their CYSA to date and many organizations (including the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force) require that all Youth Sports Directors earn the CYSA credential.
